Ryan Bergfeld, owner of Bergfeld Electric, is donating his time and expertise to install electrical service at our new shelter.

Bergfeld Electric specializes in residential/light commercial and low voltage/telecommunications work, including installation of telephone, cable, intercom, and Internet service.

Ryan has been in the electrical service field since 2003. He loves animals -- particularly St. Bernards -- and he's single. Ladies, what more could you ask for!

Dan Bergfeld is donating his time and expertise to install plumbing at our new shelter.

A Monticello resident with over 31 years of plumbing experience, Dan has a long history of volunteer work in and for the Monticello community. He hopes more people will take advantage of this opportunity to help the Piatt County community.

Dan loves animals, particularly dogs, but recognizes he is not home enough to properly care for a pet. He's content playing with everyone else's pets!

Eric, his wife Michelle, and their seven-year-old son Nathaniel are donating the paint for our new shelter.

Michelle is a full-time restaurateur (The Bistro in Monticello). Eric is a part-time restaurateur and real estate developer (Long Grove IV in Monticello), but spends most of his time farming in southern Piatt County.

The Miller family is currently between pets, but Nate hopes to change this situation very soon.

Bill Pontious, owner of W.E. Excavating, is donating his company's time and expertise to handle the concrete work and install the septic system for our new shelter.

W.E. Excavating specializes in residential subdivision design and planning, commercial and residential building site preparation (including earthwork, drainage, lakes, sanitary, storm, water utilities, concrete, paving, sidewalks and demolition), commercial and residential foundations, landscaping, and home building.

Bill has been involved in site development since 1986. Bill and his family currently have three dogs: Shania, a black Lab mix; Gracie, a Heinz 57; and Chico, a miniature Chihuahua. Shania is Bill's constant companion -- you'll see her nearby on any job site Bill is supervising.
